Sublimely gifted realism artist Rodolfo "Rodel" Salazar's form categorically depicts his subjects in an attractive display of peculiar way; his vivid colors project his theme even more. A versatile artist, his works primarily includes still life, portraits, landscape, seascape, heritage, and social realism as his subjects.

As an artist, Rodel aims to share his feelings, emotions, and character through his art. His variety of subjects, earthly colors, and a specific ambience of light are the main components of his art. He prefers classical and social realism subjects.

 

Rodel uses different mediums for his paintings, but prefers watercolor the most. When he does his artworks, he makes sure to add more vivid rendering colors, his own unique style and personal touch, to catch the eyes of his viewer. Took Fine Arts at the Philippine Women's University and even studied Architectural Fine Arts at the Manuel L. Quezon University.

 

Currently a member of the Philippine Guild of Watercolorists and an affiliate member of International Watercolor Society and once a member of the Euro-Asian Worlwide Artist group. Indeed, Rodel's great experience and creativity made him like a precious gem, profoundly buried in the earth and can only be extracted at the expense of great labor.

 

A semi-finalist out of 3,000 entries of the 500 Quincentennial Painting Competition 2020 held in Cebu City. Includes exhibition in "Kulay sa Tubig", named as the country’s most prestigious watercolor competition by Gallery Genesis. Have his piece in an online 2021 Japan International Watercolor Institute in Niigata Japan.
